For the third year in a row, Domaine Henri Bourgeois and its facilities (tasting room, Hotel-Restaurant Famille Bourgeois) rank in the Top 100 of the international ranking World’s Best Vineyards.
The World’s Best Vineyards ranking is established each year by the World’s Best Vineyards Academy, which brings together 500 of the world’s leading wine professionals, sommeliers and travel journalists. Each has been selected based on their expertise in the international wine and wine tourism scene.
In order to offer a fair representation of all the vineyards of the world, the Academy is divided into geographical regions; each region is chaired by a recognized professional who is responsible for recruiting 36 wine and travel professionals. Each of them votes for 7 wineries in order of preference, to establish a global ranking of wineries offering the best wine experience in the world.
The estate Henri Bourgeois in Chavignol ranks 75th
This is the third time that the World’s Best Vineyards ranking has awarded Domaine Henri Bourgeois in Chavignol – Sancerre a place in its worldwide Top 100 among a dozen other French estates also awarded in 2022 including Billecart-Salmon, Haut Lafitte or Château d’Yquem.
Since the beginning of the year 2000, the Domaine Henri Bourgeois has undertaken to develop a qualitative wine tourism offer centered on conviviality, gastronomy and of course sharing around our Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé wines. Since the creation of the Hotel-Restaurant Famille Bourgeois in the heart of the village of Chavignol, managed by Chef Jean-Marc Bourgeois and his wife Karine, the Domaine offers a sincere and friendly winemaker’s nexperience to discover one of the most beautiful vineyards in France.
