The Bourgeois Family estate is located within 2 hours drive of Paris; as winegrowers, the family places its passion and values at the service of its village: Chavignol. Nestling for the last ten generations at the foot of the “Côte des Monts Damnés” hill, the estate offers suggestions for discovering the Sancerre area through its highly valued gastronomic specialities and tourist attractions.

Summer visit to the gourmet flavours of the terroir in our little village of Chavignol.

 

  • Discovery of the history of the family and the methods of maturing the wines
  • Tasting of the traditional vintages from the most beautiful terroirs of the appellation, served with “Chavignol” goat cheese

A stroll through the vineyards and a picnic prepared by the Restaurant.

Available from mid-April to the end of September including:

 

  • A picnic box with local produce: lentil salad from the Berry, Sancerre ham, duck terrine and/or fish terrine from the Loire (organic), “Le Chavignol” goat cheese, “Croquets Sancerrois” (almond biscuits), mineral water.
  • Bottle of wine upon demand
  • A detailed map of the itinerary marked with information panels about the vineyard’s history and cultivation.
