The ‘Trophées de l’Oenotourisme’ (‘Wine Tourism Trophies’), organized each year with passion and talent by Terre de Vins magazine, highlights the immense work done by those involved in the French wine industry to promote their regions, their terroirs and their products to tourists in search of exceptional wine tourism and gastronomic experiences.
Already in 2021, the Bourgeois and their Hôtel-Restaurant in Chavignol were distinguished with a Trophée d’Or in the “Estate Stay” category. This award paved the way for Sancerre, which in 2022, thanks to its efforts to promote the appellation’s fabulous terroirs, was awarded the Grand Prix in the same competition.
The 2023 edition saw the Famille Bourgeois Restaurant (formerly known as “La Côte des Monts Damnés”) and its Chef Jean-Marc Bourgeois, grandson of Henri Bourgeois who gave his name to the associated winery, receive a Rrmarkable Offer in the ‘Restaurant in the vineyard’ category.
Since 2007, the Hôtel-Restaurant Famille Bourgeois has been welcoming visitors to the heart of the Sancerre vineyards, in the village of Chavignol, home to Domaine Henri Bourgeois. Born into a 10-generation family of winegrowers, the Chef is particularly keen to share dishes based on local and seasonal specialities, for the delight of all.
This distinction at Terre de Vins’ Trophées de l’Oenotourisme 2023 is a tribute to the hard work and commitment of our entire team in serving our visitors, offering them exceptional gastornomic experiences they will remember for a long time to come.
