EU regulations 2021/2117
EU regulation 2021/2117 aims to increase the transparency of wines and other alcoholic beverages. It requires producers to display detailed information on their bottles, so that consumers are clearly informed. From now on, every wine sold in the European Union must indicate :
– The energy values (calories in kcal and kJ per 100 ml)
– The full list of ingredients
– Any allergens and additives
Since the 2023 vintage, whether you sell wine in a shop or online, you are affected.
The new information can be displayed directly on the label or electronically using a QR Code.
