Harvest report: 2025

By 7 October 2025No Comments

The 2025 harvest took place at the estate from September 1 to 18. It was an early harvest, consistent with a dry, sunny year and pleasant vineyard conditions, in stark contrast to the difficulties of 2024. The harvest took place in generally sunny weather, marked by cool nights and a dry wind, which helped to keep the grapes in optimal condition until they were picked.

The 2025 vintage already stands out for its richness. The choice of harvest date was crucial in balancing the sunny character of the vintage. The whites offer aromas of white and yellow fruits, ripe citrus, and a sensation of freshness, even a beautiful tension that our terroirs protect until the grapes reach maturity. The reds, made from highly concentrated Pinot Noir grapes, have undergone a very gentle extraction process overall. They offer aromas of red berries and silky tannins of great finesse. 2025 will definitely be a vintage that we will enjoy seeing flourish.

The small size of the berries explains the low yields, which are unfortunately a constant throughout the French vineyards, still suffering the consequences of a very harsh 2024 for the vines and increasingly unpredictable and destructive climate change. Our vineyard, which was hit by a hailstorm on July 23, has unfortunately been doubly affected this year by disappointing yields, which can also be explained by a hot and dry year (with 1.5 times less rain than in 2024 and levels comparable to 2020), which severely affected the future harvest in some areas.
