EU Regulation 2021/2117
EU Regulation 2021/2117 aims to increase transparency regarding wines and other alcoholic beverages. It requires producers to display detailed information on their bottles in order to clearly inform consumers
From now on, every wine sold in the European Union must include:
Energy values (energy in kcal and kJ per 100 ml)
The complete list of ingredients
Any allergens and additives
Starting with the 2023 vintage, whether you sell wine in a store or online, these requirements apply to you.
This new information can be displayed directly on the label or made available digitally via a QR code.
